Heat
avg reserve (last — min) − reserve at the last bell
Heat is the SOL that flowed into a token's curve this hour. Buys heat, sells cool. Wash trading makes no heat: buy and sell the same SOL and the curve ends where it started.
The ritual
Every token on Caldera sits on its own bonding curve around the volcano. Once — the volcano wakes up hungry. Here is exactly what happens, with the live numbers.
avg reserve (last — min) − reserve at the last bell
Heat is the SOL that flowed into a token's curve this hour. Buys heat, sells cool. Wash trading makes no heat: buy and sell the same SOL and the curve ends where it started.
max(reserve at bell, reserve an hour earlier) + — SOL
Reach it within — minutes and keep the curve above it through the last — seconds of the trial.
older than — · at least — SOL in the curve
Brand-new and tiny tokens are left alone. Escaped tokens are out of reach forever.
—% of platform trading fees
One payout is capped at —% of the receiving curve and at —× the SOL that earned it (the rescue that stayed in the curve, or the champion's heat), so the rest stays and the pot snowballs. Payouts under — SOL wait for a bigger day.
fill the curve: — SOL
A token whose curve fills migrates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool and escapes the volcano. It never plays again, and it still trades.
—% per trade · launch fee — SOL
Creators get — of their token's trading fees (after Meteora's cut) and claim it on the token page.
The line held. The whole pot (up to the cap) buys the sacrifice on its curve and burns the tokens.
The line broke. The pot goes to the champion instead. The sacrifice keeps a scorched counter forever.
The sacrifice filled its curve mid-trial and migrated. Clever. The pot waits for the next hour.
Nobody was eligible. The volcano rolls over and goes back to sleep. The pot waits.
The SOL that flowed into a token's curve this hour: its average curve reserve over the last — minutes before the bell, minus its reserve at the previous bell. Positive heat means net buying. Negative means people are leaving.
Wash trading makes no heat: buying and selling the same SOL leaves the curve where it was. A last-second flash pump barely moves a —-minute average, and pulling the SOL back out cools you right down again. The only way to be warm is for SOL to actually stay in the curve.
So nobody can pump for one block, touch the line, dump, and still collect the pot. The curve must stay above the lava line through the final — seconds of the trial. If it dips, the line is broken.
—% of the platform's share of trading fees flows into the pot. Every payout is a buy on a curve followed by a burn, so the pot always ends up as buy pressure plus a smaller supply.
When a token's curve fills (— SOL) it migrates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool. It leaves the volcano for good: it can't be chosen, can't win the pot, and keeps trading in its pool.
—% per trade on the curve. Creators get — of that fee after Meteora's cut and can claim it from their token page. The launch fee is — SOL.
No. Creation and the creator's optional first buy happen in a single transaction, so nobody can buy before the creator. After that, it's a fair curve.
It is a volcano. Memecoins are risky and can go to zero in minutes. Only throw in what you are happy to watch burn.
